A Thattippu snack / Lunch to pack

Do you have left over chappathis?  Please donot put it in your trash as you can turn the left over chappathis to a wonderful dish. I got this receipe from my sister's friend L . Her umma (mom) makes it for snack sometime.I make this as a snack and also pack it for lunch for J.

Ingredients:
Chappathi - 3 count
Onion - half of an onion cut lengthwise .
Green chilly- 1 or 2 ( adjust according to taste)
Tomato - 1 chopped into cubes
Chilly powder- 1/2 - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Grilled chicken strips- 1/4 cup (I used Costco's frozen grilled chicken strips)
Chicken masala- 1 tsp ( optional)
Oil - 2 tsp
Salt to taste

Directions:
Tear the chappathi apart into small pieces and keep aside.
Take a bowl with frozen grilled strips in it . Microwave  2- 3 min till the chicken becomes soft.
Then put it on a chopping board and cut into small pieces .Keep aside
Heat a pan , add oil then add onion and chillies and fry . Add little salt ,so that onion will cook very well and the water in onion will get evaporated. When onions change their color slightly add tomatoes and stir for a min . Wait till tomatoes get mushy  add chilly powder and turmeric powder (you can also add 1tsp chicken masala)fry till the raw smell goes away.Add the chopped chicken strips.Stir well so that the chicken is covered with masala.Add little water and cooked covered for a minute .
Add the chappathi to this and stir well.Turn off the heat .Garnish with corriander leaves . Serve warm .

Note : The frozen grilled chicken strips has salt in it already . So add very little salt to the onion while frying.Always do a "Taste test" before adding the chappathi pieces. You can try this dish with tortilla too. Also you can add 3eggs instead of chicken.
